On 4 March 2024, a meeting between the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” (FGBI “ARRIAH”) and the General Authority for Veterinary Services of Mongolia was held through video conferencing. The representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of topics related to cooperation in the veterinary field. Particular attention was paid to the possible principles of cooperation, as well as to the issues of interaction regarding the introduction of the FGBI “ARRIAH” products to the Mongolian market.
The subject of cooperation will be the supplies of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) vaccines, as well as vaccine against sheep pox and lumpy skin disease (LSD). The parties discussed the number of vaccine doses to be supplied within the framework of cooperation for livestock vaccination in Mongolia.
For the purpose of improvement of animal disease situation in Mongolia, the FGBI “ARRIAH” will send experts and supply 10 million vaccine doses to Mongolia in 2024.
Based on the outcomes of the meeting, the parties showed full interest in the international cooperation and future meetings.
Cooperation between the FGBI “ARRIAH” and the General Authority for Veterinary Services of Mongolia will contribute to the improvement of animal disease situation in Mongolia, the enhancement of veterinary safety, the development of relations in the veterinary field.
The parties expressed the hope for fruitful and long-term cooperation.
