During the annual General Session held in Paris in May this year the World Assembly of Delegates of the World Animal Health Organization (OIE) took a decision to designate the Federal State-Financed Institution “Federal Centre for Animal Health” (FGBI “ARRIAH”) as the OIE Reference Laboratory for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Poultry) and Newcastle Disease.

FGBI “ARRIAH” has made a tremendous job in order to bring diagnostics, research and production to the level compliant with the leading OIE centres, and this fact resulted in well-deserved international recognition.

FGBI “ARRIAH” is the only OIE Reference Laboratory for Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease in the Russian Federation!

The OIE Director General Monique Eloit highly appreciated the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “ARRIAH” for cooperation with the OIE and expressed hope for further fruitful interaction.
