On 15 March 2024 the Federal Accreditation Service (Rosaccreditation) issued the Order on assigning the FGBI "ARRIAH" Preclinical Research Centre the status of compliance with the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. The details of the FGBI "ARRIAH" Preclinical Research Centre were entered into the Register of Testing Laboratories (Centers) that comply with the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
To date, the Register of GLP Testing Laboratories (Centers) aligned with the OECD GLP standards, includes 15 Testing Laboratories (Centres). The FGBI "ARRIAH" Preclinical Research Center is the first Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinate laboratory included in the Register of GLP Laboratories (Centers). GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) principles are international standards regulating the procedure of non–clinical tests for safety, efficacy and quality of medicinal products, veterinary drugs, cosmetics, food additives, pesticides and other substances. Compliance with GLP principles ensures that tests are conducted in accordance with high standards of quality, reliability and reproducibility of results.
The GLP status allows countries (including non-OECD members) to exchange the results of non-clinical tests. This expands the opportunities for Russian manufacturers to sell their products abroad as the results of tests conducted in GLP laboratories are recognized in many countries around the world.
Inclusion of the FGBI "ARRIAH" Preclinical Research Center in the register of laboratories compliant with the GLP standards is an important step in the development of the domestic product quality and safety assurance system. This will allow Russian manufacturers to enter new markets and increase the competitiveness of their products at the global level.
