By the end of 2026, the FGBI “ARRIAH” researchers will have developed ELISA test kits for detecting antibodies against mycoplasma infection (M. bovis) and parainfluenza-3 in cattle.
The new test kits will allow to detect antibodies in infected or vaccinated animals, including asymptomatic cases — crucial for timely veterinary measures and preventing disease spread on farms.
Domestically produced ELISA test kits based on current pathogen strains will enhance diagnostic monitoring, reduce reliance on the imported test kits, and strengthen biological and epizootic safety.
For reference. Mycoplasma infection and parainfluenza-3 are among the most common bovine respiratory diseases, weakening immunity and reducing productivity, especially in young stock.
