The International Scientific and Practical Conference of poultry farm veterinarians in the Russian Federation and CIS countries "Topical issues of diagnosis and prevention of poultry infectious diseases in poultry industry" was held on February, 29 in the Hotel and Restaurant Complex "Russian Village" (Moscow, Vladimir).

The event was organized by the FGBI “Federal Center for Animal Health”. In his welcoming speech to the conference participants Director of the Centre Roman Rybin noted the importance of such meetings in connection with the need to carry out explanatory work and provide scientific and practical assistance to agricultural establishments. The Conference is held annually and aims to offer solutions to all urgent issues of the industry. "We see the increased interest of the representatives of poultry establishments and are always open to the dialogue. The Center is ready to continue direct interaction with agricultural producers based on the already existing experience of cooperation with large holdings," Roman Rybin concluded.

Within the framework of the conference, the FGBI "ARRIAH" specialists and researchers will make presentations on the molecular diagnosis of infections relevant to poultry industry, assessment of the biosafety of poultry farms and compartmentalization, avian influenza and its control under vaccination conditions, on epizootology and prevention of Marek's Disease; they will talk about effective vaccination in poultry farming and new developments of FGBI "ARRIAH"; They will give recommendations on the use of vaccines against poultry viral diseases.

Experts of the Rosptitzesoyuz, the Eurasian Association of Poultry Breeders, specialists from the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and FGBI “VGNKI”, representatives of poultry industry research and production companies from Russia, Turkey and India were also invited to participate in the Conference as speakers.

At the end of the meeting a round table will be held where relevant and current issues of commercial poultry farming will be discussed and the results of the Conference will be summarized.
