The Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” (Vladimir) received RF Invention Patent No. 2 725 862 “Method for quantitative assessment of FMD virus virions in non-inactivated vaccine raw materials when comparing the maximum extrema of second derivative graphs for real-time amplification reaction curves".
The invention relates to the field of biotechnology and FMD vaccine production, namely to the method for determining the concentration of FMD virus virions in non-inactivated vaccine raw materials by comparing the maximum extrema (crossing point, Cp) of real-time amplification reaction curves by means of the second derivative, and the developed quadratic models of the dependence of the critical point of the second derivative graph for the Cp fluorescence accumulation curve and the concentration of FMD virus virions.
The proposed method is highly sensitive and specific, is characterized by high reliability, combines the implementation of a strain-specific analysis followed by a molecular biological study of a non-inactivated suspension of the cultural FMD virus for 4 hours, which improves the sensitivity of the method.
