On December 4, 2025, in New Delhi, the FGBI "Federal Centre for Animal Health" (FGBI "ARRIAH") and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the fields of agricultural scientific research and education.
The signing ceremony took place during the visit of Sergey Dankvert, Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance), who was participating in negotiations between Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare of India.
The Memorandum establishes a framework for collaborative development in agricultural research. Key provisions include the exchange of scientific personnel and technologists through internships and familiarization visits; the sharing of biologicals, virus strains, literature, information, and methodologies; the facilitation of equipment exchange; and the joint development and implementation of research projects. It also aims to foster direct relationships between the scientific and technical divisions of both institutions.
