Events

The IX International Veterinary Congress organized with support from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Rosselkhoznadzor and Veterinary Department authorities takes place in Svetlogorsk (Kaliningrad Oblast) in April 17 – 21, 2019.

Plenary sessions, conferences, seminars, round tables as well as traditional exhibition of veterinary and medicinal equipment, pharmaceuticals for animal disease treatment and prevention, feed and feeding additives and special literature will be held in the framework of the IX International Veterinary Congress.

The Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinated FGBI “Federal Service for Animal Health” representatives take active part in the Congress. The Centre is also presented by the booth of its own products where the Congress guests and participants can learn about the FGBI “ARRIAH” new products and advanced veterinary product developments.

The FGBI “ARRIAH” scientists will act as moderators and speakers as well as will participate to round tables and discussions to be held during the Congress.

Viktor Irza, Doctor of Science (Veterinary Medicine), Chief Expert of the FGBI “ARRIAH”, will be a moderator of the avian influenza round table to be held in the framework of conference for Current scientific findings and innovatory technologies for industrial poultry breeding.

Ilya Chvala, Candidate of Science (Veterinary Medicine), FGBI “ARRIAH” Deputy Director for Research and Monitoring, will make a presentation on avian viral infections currently important for industrial poultry breeding.

Konstantin Gruzdev, Professor, Doctor of Science (Biology). Emeritus Veterinarian of the Russian Federation, Chief Researcher of the FGBI “ARRIAH” Information Analytical Centre will be a moderator of the conference for Current issues in industrial pig breeding including two porcine respiratory pathology and African swine fever round tables. He also will make a presentation on African swine fever epidemic situation within the ASF round table. Besides, Alexey Igolkin, Candidate of Science (Veterinary Medicine), Head of ASF Laboratory of the FGBI “ARRIAH” will give a presentation on molecular and genetic tests as a tool for ASF spread analysis during the ASF round table.

Alexander Kononov, Candidate of Science (Veterinary Medicine), Head of FGBI “ARRIAH” Department for Livestock Disease Diagnosis and Prevention, will make a presentation on peculiarities of lumpy skin disease diagnosis and prevention at the conference for Current issues in industrial dairy and beef farming.

The Congress participants acknowledge high-level professionalism of the Centre’s experts, intensive Congress programme and relevance of addressed aspects of livestock and poultry establishment operation under current conditions as well as threats and risks to the global epizootic safety.
