Events

The International Conference “Future tasks in the area of animal infectious diseases and transmitted from animals to humans infectious diseases – global foresight initiative” was held during the period from 18 till 19 June 2014. The FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” under the jurisdiction of the Rosselkhoznadzor was represented at the event by Sergey Rybakov, Doctor of Science (Biology), Professor.

By Order of the Ministry of Education and Science dated 20 January 2014 the Conference entered into an official list of events held within a framework of the EU-Russia Year of Science 2014 and it was approved in the list of events with organizational and information support of the RF Ministry of Education and Science.

The goals of the event are as follows – increase of a level of information exchange, improvement of arrangement and coordination between strategically interested parties, leading scientists of EU member states, Russia, USA, India, China, Australia, Brazil, Philippines and other countries in the area of highly dangerous diseases including zoonoses as well as development of long-term programmes in given sphere.

Within a framework of the Conference the participants listened to presentations dealing with the Conference subject, visited the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin and took part in two workshops.
