News

On November 2, 2026, a delegation from the Service for Veterinary Medicine, Livestock Development, Pastures and Feed under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic visited the FGBI “ARRIAH” in Vladimir. It included Adilet Sotovaldiev, Director of the Service, and Shergazy Kabylbekov, the Head of the Strategic Planning Directorate.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for interaction in the field of veterinary medicine, animal disease prevention, and ensuring biological safety.

Ruslan Kobernik, Deputy Director of FGBI “ARRIAH”, presented the institute's main areas of activity, including the development and production of veterinary vaccines from current pathogen strains, as well as scientific support for their use.

One of the practical results of the negotiations was an agreement on the supply of vaccines against animal diseases to Kyrgyzstan in 2027.

It should be noted that in 2026, 4.3 million doses of veterinary preparations developed by FGBI “ARRIAH” specialists were sent to Kyrgyzstan.

The participants paid special attention to the prospects for joint work in the field of aquaculture. ARRIAH scientists are currently developing a vaccine for freshwater fish against furunculosis, lactococcosis, vibriosis, pseudomonosis, and yersiniosis. This development is particularly relevant for Kyrgyzstan, where trout farming is actively developing.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further strengthening the partnership, expanding supplies of veterinary preparations, and developing scientific and technical cooperation.

It should be noted that issues of veterinary cooperation were previously discussed on the sidelines of the IX International Fishery Forum in St. Petersburg. There, a meeting was held between Khasan Likhov, the FGBI “ARRIAH” Director, and Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic – Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry. The Minister highly appreciated the institute's activities and thanked the Russian specialists for their assistance in preventing animal diseases.
