The ceremonial mass meeting in commemoration of the 71th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 took place on May 9, 2016 in the Yurievetz district, Vladimir.

The veterans - war participants and workers - were greeted by the local authorities, heads and directors of major enterprises, volunteers of public organizations, on-stage performance groups and local residents. The staff members and administration representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor - subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” also took part in the ceremony and held a moment of silence to pay tribute to those who died in the war.

The veterans received kind words and good wishes from those who appeared on the improvised stage. The attendees remembered about heroism of the Russian people during the Great Patriotic War. The guests’ speeches alternated with performances of local entertainers.

The meeting concluded with the wreath-laying ceremony to the obelisk in celebration of Victory Day. The FGBI “ARRIAH” representatives headed by Director Dmitry Lozovoy laid flowers and a memorial wreath to the obelisk in memory of soldiers perished in the war.
