Ten samples of animal’s brains were tested for rabies in the subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” in August 2015. The samples had been received from Vladimir, Moscow and Tver Oblasts in the framework of the national program.
In the FGBI “ARRIAH” the material was tested by FAT method. As the result of tests 3 cases of animal rabies were confirmed: in fox from Vayznikovsky Raion, Vladimir Oblast, in raccoon dog from Kimrsky Raion, Tver Oblast, and also in small ruminants from Orekhovo-Zyevo Raion.
In 2015 (till August) in Vladimir oblast 81 cases of animal rabies disease, in Tver Oblast – 49 cases, in Moscow Oblast – 210 cases were registered.
