In April-May, 2020 the staff of the Chemical Analysis Laboratory of the Testing Centre within the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor took part in the round of proficiency testing provided by FAPAS international organization (Food Analysis Performance Assessment Scheme) for quinolones and fluoroquinolones (oxolinic acid, ciprofloxacin, difloxacin, total fluoroquinolones) in Fish Muscle Quality Control Material.

The provider concluded that the results presented by the laboratory staff were satisfactory: test acceptance value - z-score (deviation from the standard) for oxolinic acid was (-0.9); for ciprofloxacin – (-1.3); for difloxacin – (-1.8); total fluoroquinolones – (-1.9) (a satisfactory result is deemed the following: |z|≤2).

The Testing Centre demonstrated the technical ability of their specialists and validity of the applied analytical methods for food safety assessment.
