On 16 July 2019, the representatives of the Food Safety Inspectorate under the Government of the Republic of Armenia visited the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “ARRIAH” in order to familiarize themselves with the Russian veterinary surveillance system.
The specialists of the FGBI “ARRIAH” provided information to the delegation on the main aspects of the FGBI “ARRIAH” scientific activities; in particular, the guests became familiarized with the work of the Testing Centre.
Within the framework of the visit, the FGBI “ARRIAH” specialists made presentations on the epidemic situation with respect to highly dangerous diseases of animals and birds with particular attention paid to the current situation related to the spread of African swine fever.
At the end of the visit, the representatives of the delegation from the Republic of Armenia commended the activities carried out by the FGBI “ARRIAH” and expressed their interest in the development of scientific cooperation and sharing experiences in the prevention and control of dangerous and economically significant animal diseases.
