162 outbreaks of highly dangerous animal diseases were registered in the world from August 9 to 15, 2014, according to the OIE data.

6 ASF outbreaks were registered in Russia. During the last week the following RF subjects became infected: the Tula Oblast (Povalyaevo settlement, Zaoksky Region), the Kaluga Oblast (Krasnikovo settlement, Peremyshlsky Raion, Ramensky and Vishneye stow, Mosalsky Raion), the Pskov Oblast (Kurova Gora, Velikorusski Raion) and the Moscow Oblast (Staraya Ruza, Ruzsky Raion). ASF outbreaks were also registered by the Veterinary Services of Latvia (13 outbreaks), Lithuania (3 outbreaks) and Poland (3 outbreaks).

Bluetongue outbreaks are being registered in Bulgaria (13), Macedonia (21) and Turkey (1). 47 vesicular stomatitis outbreaks were registered by the US Veterinary Services. Highly pathogenic avian influenza was registered in Vietnam (2 outbreaks).

7 CSF outbreaks were registered in Latvia. 2 cases of peste de petits ruminants were registered in Bhutan.

FMD epidemic in bovines is in progress in Algeria. 43 outbreaks were registered during the last week. 1 FMD outbreak was officially confirmed by Mozambique.
