According to the information of the World Organisation for Animal Health 57 outbreaks of animal highly dangerous diseases were registered from 21 till 27 February 2015.
Outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) were reported from Lithuania (2) and Poland (3).
Outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza were registered by veterinary services of Hungary (1), Vietnam (1), China (1), Palestine (1), USA (7), Taiwan (25) and Japan (1).
Foot and mouth disease was diagnosed in Botswana (1) and Zimbabwe (12). One case of anthrax was reported from Kyrgyzstan.
An outbreak of sheep and goat pox was registered for the first time in the West Kazakhstan Oblast of Kazakhstan.
In Russia no outbreaks of animal highly dangerous diseases were officially confirmed in the past week.
