The FGBI “ARRIAH” and the National ZOO‑Union are launching a charity project to support animal shelters and protect the health of the animals in their care.

As part of the project, approximately 5,000 doses of vaccines for cats and dogs will be donated to shelters across various regions of Russia, including Donbas. The vaccines are scheduled for delivery by the end of August 2026 and will help strengthen infectious disease prevention among shelter animals.

The FGBI “ARRIAH” will donate its proprietary vaccines, including Carnican-5R, a vaccine for dogs against canine distemper, parvovirus and coronavirus enteritis, adenovirus infection, and rabies; and Carnifel PCHR, a polyvalent vaccine for cats against feline panleukopenia, calicivirus infection, viral rhinotracheitis, and rabies.

Representatives of the animal welfare community and volunteers will join the initiative, helping to coordinate with local shelters, organize vaccination drives, and provide on‑the‑ground support.

The FGBI ‘ARRIAH’ develops modern prevention tools and considers it important to ensure that these technologies are accessible to those who are most in need of support. The project will combine the scientific potential of the FGBI “ARRIAH”, the experience of veterinarians, and the capabilities of the animal welfare community. This joint effort will provide shelters with effective vaccines and serve as yet another example of how advances in veterinary science help address important social challenges.
