On May 22, 2019 the delegation of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” visited the South Avian Disease Laboratory of the Egg and Poultry Board (Beer Tuvia), which is a National Reference Laboratory for Avian Diseases accredited according to ISO 17025 by the national laboratory accreditation body of Israel.
Representatives of the laboratory described the epidemic situation on avian diseases in the country, possible routes of the disease introduction in the country including AI introduction, and they also told about the tests carried out by the laboratory.
During the discussion, the laboratory expressed its interest in participation in the laboratory comparisons organized by the FGBI “ARRIAH” as the OIE Reference Laboratory for Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease.
