During the period from 2018 to 2020, the successful preclinical and clinical trials of a new vaccine against avian infectious bronchitis (IB) based on ARRIAH793/V vaccine strain that is currently important for the RF poultry industry were conducted at the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health”.

In the course of preclinical trials, the main immunobiological properties of the vaccine were studied, and they formed the basis for drawing up regulatory and technical documentation for the vaccine. Subsequent extensive clinical trials conducted at the poultry factories made it possible to adjust the main characteristics of the vaccine, as well as confirmed its safety and high efficacy for susceptible populations. The vaccine registration was completed in July 2020, and it was included in the state register of veterinary medicinal products. The FGBI “ARRIAH” started the production of commercial batches of the vaccine in August 2020.
