Specialists of the Department of Livestock Disease Diagnostics and Prevention of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Center for Animal Health” received Patent of the Russian Federation No. 2668398 for the invention of “Oligonucleotide primers and a fluorescent-labeled probe, method and test system for detecting the genome of lumpy skin disease virus field isolates in real-time polymerase chain reaction".
The invention relates to the field of veterinary virology and concerns the method development for molecular diagnosis of lumpy skin disease (LSD) caused by field isolate.
The new method allows to perform laboratory tests for presence of the LSD virus field isolate genome. The developed highly sensitive test system based on real-time PCR is a modern, efficient and technologically advanced method for conducting rapid diagnostics.
