The Reference Laboratory for Avian Virus Diseases of the Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinated FGBI “Federal Center for Animal Health” (FGBI “ARRIAH”) participated to the regular three rounds of International proficiency testing (IPT) organized by the Laboratory of the Dutch Animal Health Service, Deventer (R&D GD), Netherlands, officially ILAC G13:2007 accredited for providing IPT for some infectious diseases.

The Laboratory staff members carried out tests of coded chicken serum sample panels with the FGBI “ARRIAH” - produced commercial ELISA test-kits for detection of antibodies to infectious laryngotracheitis virus, reovirus and avian metapneumovirus. All samples were accurately identified based on the performed test results.

Thus, in 2016 the Laboratory participated into all scheduled IPT rounds conducted by the Laboratory of the Dutch Animal Health Service, Deventer (R&D GD), Netherlands, and was granted by 12 certificates. The IPT results confirmed again the competence of the Laboratory staff-members as well as the FGBI ‘ARRIAH” ELISA test-kit susceptibility and sensitivity for diagnosis of chicken infectious diseases economically significant for commercial poultry industry.
