In April 2019, the Reference Laboratory for Highly Dangerous Diseases of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” obtained the deciphered results of the international comparative tests for classical swine fever diagnosis organized by the European Union Reference Laboratory for CSF (EURL, Germany, Hannover).
The tests were performed by the personnel of the Reference Laboratory for Highly Dangerous Diseases in autumn 2018. During testing, the infection status of each coded sample was determined correctly.
The test results show that ELISA and PCR-based test systems developed and used in the laboratory have high sensitivity and specificity and ensure reliable results in classical swine fever diagnosis.
