In the end of April, 2016 specialists of the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor took part and made presentations at the Seminar “Vital Issues of Poultry Production Development in Belgorod Oblast” held for the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration and Belgorod Interoblast Veterinary Laboratory personnel.

V. Irza, Chief Expert of the Information Analysis Centre under the FGBI “ARRIAH” made a report on the avian disease epidemic situation in Russia and in the world, highlighted the most important aspects of AI and ND monitoring, prevention and control. I. Chvala, Head of the Reference Laboratory for Avian Viral Diseases spoke on current methodical approaches to avian viral infection diagnostics, paying special attention to highly dangerous diseases. The report of M. Volkov, Head of the Laboratory for Epidemiology and Monitoring, was devoted to avian mycoplasmosis control strategy in commercial poultry production. The risk assessment in poultry production and at processing plants was also discussed.

In the conclusion the opinions were shared and all attendees were given certificates.
