On October 24, 2018, the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” was visited by the delegation of Mongolia represented by Mr. Dorjnyam Tumendemberel, Chief Veterinary Officer of Mongolia, Director General of the Veterinary and Breeding Agency.
The parties discussed cooperation in the area of animal health and control of economically significant and highly dangerous diseases. Development of the strategy of anti-epidemic measures aimed at animal infectious disease control in Mongolia and inter alia at the selection of relevant strains for FMD preventive vaccination of farm animals was discussed during the dialogue.
The visit resulted in agreements on bilateral cooperation in 2019. Dmitry Lozovoy expressed willingness to assist the Mongolian colleagues in terms of ARRAH-based training of veterinary experts (including PhD and refresher’s trainings) as well as in terms of research and methodological assistance in implementation of anti-epidemic measures and monitoring testing. The CVO of Mongolia highly appreciated the assistance of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “ARRIAH” and expressed hope for long and fruitful cooperation in programs for highly dangerous and economically significant animal disease eradication in the Mongolian farm animals.
