On March 5, 2019 the delegation of the representatives of the FGBI "Federal Centre for Animal Health" subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor headed by Director Dmitry Lozovoy and Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Territorial Administration for Moscow, Moscow and Tula regions Evgeny Antonov paid a working visit to Dubai Municipality.

Veterinary officers responsible for veterinary well-being in the industry and farm animal health in the Emirate took part in the meeting from the Dubai side. Information provided by the Russian side on vaccination strategy and a package of measures to combat FMD attracted a keen interest of the Municipality representatives. The Dubai side noted considerable expertise and experience of the FGBI "ARRIAH" in fighting the highly dangerous disease of farm animals and expressed hope that the epidemiological situation in the region would improve due to cooperation with the Federal Centre, in particular, training of foreign specialists at the FGBI "ARRIAH" premises, molecular biology and serological research and equipment use.

The Parties agreed on necessity for a comprehensive approach to combat FMD.
