The members of the Young Scientist Council under the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor took part in the roundtable discussion for young people on “Support and development of youth as a human resource for modern society and basis for economically and socially sustainable country” on February 25, 2016.

The event was organized by the Department for Labour and Employment of the Oblast Administration and Youth Government of the Vladimir Oblast.

Anatoly Abramov, Director of the Department for Labour and Employment of the Oblast Administration and Igor Savelyev, Chairman of the Youth Government of the Vladimir Oblast moderated the roundtable discussion. Alisa Abramova, Chairman of the Committee for Youth Policy of the Oblast Administration, Irina Kalmykova, Member of the Public Chamber of the Vladimir Oblast and Director of the Vladimir Regional Organization “Association of the Civil Service Academy Graduates” and Alexey Karaulov, Coordinator of the “You are an Entrepreneur” Programme also took part in the discussion.

Vital issues of the regional labour market for young people and ways to resolve them, measures of youth and entrepreneurship support by the government as well as the prospects of the development and enhancement of the role played by youth consultative and advisory bodies in the social and economic development of the region were discussed.

The young people asked questions concerning the preparation of the official terms of reference for the training of specialists in the professional educational institutions and peculiarities of labour legislation; proposed solutions for youth employment problems and enhancement of the role played by the youth consultative and advisory bodies in the social and economic development of the region.
