Field workshop on practical aspects of avian disease prevention in poultry industry is to be held in AO “N.I. Tkachev Agrocomplex” (Vyselki s., Krasnodar Krai) on December 14-15, 2016. This is a new event, which will be organized by the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health”.

The event will include presentations by the FGBI “ARRIAH” experts and round table discussion of its results. The workshop participants will be provided handouts, which will be useful for the poultry breeders and veterinarians. The forthcoming workshop has been already taken note of by the mass media and it will be covered in the regional media.

Topics of the workshop are chosen according to topical issues in the poultry industry and with due account of the opinion survey of the workshop participants. During the workshop global epidemic situation on avian diseases will be reviewed in detail as well as epidemic situation in Russia, diagnosis of avian diseases including highly dangerous diseases (avian influenza, Newcastle disease) and specific prevention of avian viral diseases. FGBI “ARRIAH” researchers will share experience in ILT diagnosis and prevention, explain epidemiology of Marek’s disease, leucosis, adenovirus infection, Haemophillus infection.

In addition, the workshop participants will receive comprehensive data on vaccination and control of its efficiency against fowl pox and learn about avian mycoplasmosis (MG and MS) epidemiology.

The final part of the workshop will include presentations by the participants and discussion of topical issues. The results will be summed up and duly executed certificates will be issued.
