From April 9 to 15, 2016 the countries reported about 48 outbreaks of highly dangerous animal diseases to the OIE.

African swine fever (ASF) was registered in Lithuania (3), Poland (1), Ukraine (1) and Kenya (1).

HPAI outbreaks were registered in Vietnam (1), Mexico (19) and Taiwan (4). Newcastle disease was detected in poultry in Romania (2).

African horse sickness was registered in the Republic of South Africa. Nine bluetongue outbreaks were detected by the French Veterinary Services. MERS CoV outbreaks were detected in Saudi Arabia (3).

Nodular dermatitis has been registered in Bulgaria for the first time (3).
