According to the OIE data 113 outbreaks of highly dangerous animal diseases were reported in the world from February 6 to February 12, 2016.
In Russia over the past week African swine fever (ASF) outbreak was registered in Penza, the Penza Oblast.
ASF outbreaks were also reported in Latvia (7), Ukraine (1) and Estonia (38).
Veterinary Service of France continues to notify bluetongue (12) and highly pathogenic avian influenza (1) outbreaks. Highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreaks were also reported in Ghana (1) and Nigeria (1). Two brucellosis outbreaks were detected in Finland.
The following diseases were reported in previously free territories:
