According to the OIE 46 outbreaks of highly dangerous animal diseases were reported in the world from April 30 to May 13, 2016.
Outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) were registered in Lithuania (9), Poland (1) and Ukraine (1).
FMD was detected in Angola (1) and China (1).
HPAI outbreaks were registered in Taiwan (3) and India (1), as well as in previously FMD-free Italy (1).
African horse sickness (1), FMD in cattle (1) and LPAI (2) were registered in the Republic of South Africa.
Bluetongue outbreaks (7) continue to be registered in France
Veterinary Service of Bulgaria (2), Greece (9) and Macedonia (3) have reported on new outbreaks of lumpy skin disease.
LPAI outbreak (1) was detected in the USA.
The following diseases were reported in previously disease-free countries:
