On September 9-13, 2019 the internship on FMD diagnostic methods for the specialists of Veterinary Research Institute (Lahore, Pakistan), dr. Sajjad Hussain (director) and dr. Rafik Rehan (veterinary researcher) took place on the basis of the Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinate FGBI ‘Federal Center of Animal Health’.
The internship programme included the following practical training:
Sample preparation of pathological material; Familiarization with indirect double sandwich ELISA; Plate coating with capturing antibodies; familiarization with microneutralization test; preparation of serum samples for testing. Microneutralization test procedure; cell culture microscopy; FMDV detection in biomaterial by real time RT-PCR.Upon completion of the courses the training results were summarized and certificates of advanced training were issued.
