New Issue of ARRIAH’s Scientific Journal “Veterinary Science Today” Has Been Published, Timed to Coincide with World Rabies Day

In late September 2026, the next issue of the scientific journal “Veterinary Science Today” (Vol. 15, No. 3, 2026), founded by the FGBI “ARRIAH”, was published.

The third issue of the journal is dedicated to World Rabies Day, observed annually on 28 September. The issue features scientific articles on current topics in veterinary virology, microbiology, epizootiology and animal disease diagnostics.

The published materials include:

·         a phylogenetic analysis of rabies virus isolates identified in Novosibirsk Oblast;

·         the development of a test system for detecting the rabies virus genome by real-time PCR with an endogenous control;

·         the cytokine profile and Th1/Th2 response balance in the mechanisms underlying autoimmune disorders in dogs with dirofilariasis;

·         the development of PCR test systems for assessing the prevalence of antibiotic resistance genes in Clostridium;

·         the microbial aetiology of ulcerative lesions of the hoof horn in cattle.

 

In addition, the issue features review articles on epizootic haemorrhagic disease of ruminants, the role of certain acute-phase proteins in inflammatory processes, including in the bovine mammary gland, the clinical manifestations of pythiosis in horses, as well as the general patterns and specific features of the aetiology and pathogenesis of leptospirosis in dogs.
