The meeting “Support of Domestic Veterinary Drugs” organized with the assistance of Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Agency for strategic initiatives on new project promotion” was held in Moscow on March 23, 2016.
The meeting was aimed at discussing and solving systemic problems, associated with the necessity of developing and rendering state support in domestic veterinary drug production, revealed during evaluation of the project on development of veterinary drug production for livestock and poultry.
OOO “Belfarmkorm”, OOO “ NVC Agrovetzaschita”, OOO GK “VIK”, OOO TD “Bioprom Centre”, OAO “Pokrov biopreparation plant”, Research Institute of experimental veterinary medicine after Ya. R. Kovalenko, FGBI “VGNKI” took part in the meeting. M. Prokhorova, Head of the Department for Innovations, participated in the event on behalf of the FGBI “ARRIAH”.
The meeting was devoted to discussion of main barriers for domestic veterinary drug producers on the Russian market, obstacles for export to the international market, and measures for supporting veterinary drug producers.
At the end of the meeting the participants developed draft measures for veterinary drug producer control and support:
measures for regulating veterinary drug import for the purpose of supporting domestic drug on the Russian market; measures for supporting agricultural veterinary drug producers including subsidies; developing common rules of veterinary drug registration and circulation, common requirements for safety and quality of veterinary drugs and vaccines approved for marketing in the Customs Union, and submitting these suggestions before the EEC members.
