On February 28, 2018 the meeting between Head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Alexander Tkachyov and Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia Batjargal Batzorig took place in Moscow during which the Russian-Mongolian cooperation in the agrarian field was discussed.
In the course of the meeting it was noted that the interaction between Russia and Mongolia was characterized by the high intensity of contacts. In January, 2018 a meeting of the Russian-Mongolian Working Group on Agriculture was held, following which a Road map was developed reflecting basic directions for further partnership. The Head of the RF Ministry of Agriculture paid special attention to cooperation between Russia and Mongolia in the field of sanitary and veterinary surveillance with a priority being given to the programme for sanitation of Mongolian livestock.
Deputy Director Sergey Starov and Head of the Department for Veterinary Product Promotion Alla Stakhanova as the representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” also participated in the meeting in order to discuss the outcomes of FGBI “ARRIAH” vaccine against foot-and-mouth disease supply within the framework of the joint programme “Sanitation of Mongolian Livestock”. The Mongolian party expressed its hope for further cooperation and emphasized the quality of veterinary products manufactured by the FGBI “ARRIAH”.
