On January 26, 2017, experts of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” attended the 22nd International Exhibition MVC: GRAIN-COMPOUND FEED-ANIMAL HEALTH-2017. The Exhibition was held in Moscow, Hall 75, National Economy Achievement Exhibition (VDNKh). Over 400 companies and institutions from 26 European, Asian and North American countries as well as from 44 RF regions participated in the exhibition.

The exhibition has been held since 1996 and it is supported by the State Duma Committee on Rural Affairs, Council of the Federation Committee for Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management, RF MoA, Rosselkhoznadzor, Rospotrebnadzor, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Moscow Government, Delovaya Rossia, Opora Rossii, Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, Russian Grain Union, Association of Compound Feed Manufacturers, Russian Veterinary Association, Rosrybkhoz, Association of Zoo business establishments, NP “Meat Council of Common Economic Area”, Rosptitsesoyuz, Soyusrossakhar and 15 other leading unions and associations. The exhibition is one of the most interesting, representational and popular events among experts.

A number of conferences, workshops and meetings were held under the business schedule. Leading experts from the Russian and foreign companies participated in the events and made presentations. Ilya Chvala, Head of the Reference Laboratory for Viral Avian Diseases (FGBI ARRIAH) participated in the IVth international Conference “Development of Egg and Meat Poultry Industry”. He delivered a presentation “Viral infections that were the most relevant for the RF poultry industry in 2015-2016”. The presentation included results of laboratory tests demonstrating specific properties of the infectious disease spread in the RF and neighboring countries over the recent years as well as virus biological properties with major attention being given to avian influenza, Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis. The presentation was highly evaluated by the conference participants.
