Delegation of the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency of the Republic of Korea visited the FGBI “ARRIAH” on October 31 to November 3, 2016. The visit was aimed at audit of the FGBI “ARRIAH” for completion of its veterinary drug registration process in the Republic of Korea as well as technical consultations on highly dangerous animal disease prevention and control.

The parties discussed FMD epidemic situation in the East Asia paying attention to selection of FMD control strategy for the said region. The FGBI “ARRIAH” scientists provided the delegation with detailed information on the FGBI “ARRIAH” activities, methods for highly dangerous animal disease diagnosis and prevention in the Russian Federation as well as anti-FMD vaccine production and control.

As a result of the meeting, agreements on cooperation between the FGBI “ARRIAH” and Veterinary Services of the Republic of Korea in surveillance of FMD outbreaks in Asian countries and supplies of FMD vaccine for animal immunization were reached.
