The specialists from the Rosselkhoznadzor Territorial Administration and subordinate organizations took part in the Crimean Food Forum, an exclusive fair for food, drinks and raw materials which took place in Yalta, Republic of Crimea on November 18 – 20.
The fair was organized with the support of the RF Ministry of Agriculture, Crimean Ministry of Agriculture and Crimean Ministry of Industrial Policy.
More than 80 producers from all Russian regions and Crimea presented their products at the Forum. First Deputy Minister of the Crimean Industrial Policy Konstantin Ravich, Adviser to the Crimean Minister of Agriculture for Food and Processing Industry Vladimir Anyukhin and Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Territorial Administration for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City Andrey Drygin as well as other officials opened the exhibition.
Seminars with the participation of the representatives from responsible ministries were held within the framework of the business program. The reporters informed about measures and basic trends in assurance of food security in the Republic of Crimea, about the progress in import substitution as well as about the prospects in food product range expansion in the Republic.
In the course of the Forum which was included into the Crimean plan of import substitution a round table discussion was held devoted to food and processing industries of the Republic of Crimea, the results of activities and development prospects. Tatiana Nikeshina, Head of the Testing Centre within the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor, Sergey Danilchenko, Deputy Director of the FGBI “ARRIAH” Branch in the Republic of Crimea, Elena Kuzina, Head of Food Safety Laboratory of the Branch, Margarita Kutrovskaya, Head of the Testing Laboratory of the FGBI “VNIIKR” Branch in the Republic of Crimea and representatives of food business took part in the discussion of issues vital for the peninsula.
Andrey Drygin focused the attention of all participants on the necessity to improve activities of services and authorities in detection of adulterated food products. He recommended performing laboratory tests of several products in order to enhance their brand ratings and provide consumers with the safest and healthiest products. Special attention was given to production safety of dairy products used by daycares, schools and health improvement institutions.
In the course of the event the implementation stages of tasks set by the RF Government for the improvement of animal and plant production in the regions were discussed. In this context Tatiana Nikeshina spoke on the FGBI “ARRIAH” Testing Centre role in testing of food and raw materials for their quality and safety. The Forum participants were given handouts about the activities of the Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinate institutions.
The representatives of the RF Ministry of Agriculture, Rosselkhoznadzor, Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, FGBI “ARRIAH” and FGBI “VNIIKR” Branches in the Republic of Crimea took part in the Seminar “EGAIS – legal requirements and operation basic principles in Crimea”.
The specialists of the FGBI “VNIIKR” subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor and responsible for plant quarantine held a number of meetings with regional agricultural producers aimed at the further development of cooperation mechanism between surveillance bodies and business circles on the way of Crimean agricultural sector integration into the current system of Russian Federation agrisafety system.
