On September 14-15, 2016 training seminar on “Vital Issues of Epizootology, Cattle Disease Prevention. Lumpy Skin Disease, Schmallenberg Disease, Bluetongue and Anthrax. Tasks of Local Authorities and RF Subject Veterinary Services”, organized by the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City, FGBI “ARRIAH” and its Crimean branch was held at the Academy of Biological Resources and Environment under Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky.
Alexander Kononov (Candidate of Science in Veterinary Medicine), Head of Reference Laboratory for Cattle Diseases, FGBI “ARRIAH”, made his presentation at the seminar, which was opened by Yury Epanov, Deputy Head of the regional Rosselkhoznadzor Administration.
More than two hundred veterinarians from different services and authorities of the Crimean peninsula, as well as students, postgraduate students and teachers of the Faculty for Veterinary Medicine within the Academy of Biological Resources and Environment took part in the seminar. In the course of the seminar the scientists drew the attention of the trainees to the tasks of dangerous and highly dangerous cattle disease prevention and possible routes of infection spread, and answered the raised questions. Upon the completion of the training all trainees received certificates.
