On October 26, 2018, within the framework of the International scientific and practical conference "Prospects for Russian Veterinary Medicine" dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate Federal Center for Animal Health, the Memorandum on continuation of scientific and technical cooperation between the FGBI "ARRIAH" and the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira was signed.
Food Safety Authority is a Finnish state agency responsible for food safety control. The main task of the Agency is to prevent risks that threaten the food industry, and to prevent diseases that threaten animal and plant health.
From the Russian part, the document was signed by the Director Dmitry Lozovoy, from the part of Evira the document was signed by the Director General Matti Aho.
The agreement envisages participation of the parties in joint activities, including exchange of knowledge, training of PhD students, and training of young scientists and specialists at the institutions. Under the signed agreement, the parties plan to develop scientific programs for partnership development in the future. These programs will provide the framework for strengthened cooperation between the scientists of the two countries.
