The delegation of specialists from the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine (CAIQ) visited the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” to get acquainted with the laboratory and differential diagnostics of African swine fever (ASF), improvement of ASF diagnostic methods, as well as other issues related to the reference laboratory’s competence on ASF. The visit will last until November 27.
According to the program of the visit the Chinese specialists and FGBI “ARRIAH” scientists will carry out comparative assessment of modern methods of serological (ELISA, immunoblotting) and molecular-biological diagnostics of ASF (real-time PCR, LAMP-PCR, etc.) developed by the FGBI “ARRIAH” and CAIQ.
Essential part of the studies will be conducted in the ASF Reference laboratory of the FGBI “ARRIAH”. Upon completion of the studies the research protocol based on the provisions of Chapter 1.1.6 of the OIE Manual (2016) will be prepared.
