The delegation of the Rosselkhoznadzor held a meeting with S.Yu. Rossomakhov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 17, 2017. Director of the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health”, subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor D.A. Lozovoy informed S.Yu. Rossomakhov about promising trends in cooperation between the RF and Indonesia in the sphere of hi-tech veterinary drug supplies as well as Institute’s capacity to assist in developing of animal and poultry disease control programs and their scientific and technical support.

On the same day the meeting with heads of the Agency of Agricultural Quarantine under the Ministry of Agriculture of Indonesia (Quarantine Agency) was held to discuss veterinary and phytosanitary requirements regulating access of Russian animal and plant products to the Indonesian market.

Assistant to Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor V.V. Lavrovsky, Director of the FGBI “ARRIAH” D.A. Lozovoy and Director of the Rostov Branch of the FGBI “Grain Quality Assessment Center” G.A. Kirillov took part in the negotiations on the Russian side. The Indonesian party was presented by the Head of the International Service of the Quarantine Agency, Director of the Center for Animal Quality and Biosecurity under the Quarantine Agency and Head of the Grain Department under the Center for Animal Quality and Biosecurity.

The Indonesian colleagues were proposed to visit Russian laboratories involved into confirmation of grain quality and safety which would facilitate strengthening of confidence in guarantees given by the Rosselkhoznadzor to the Indonesian surveillance services. The registration of veterinary drugs produced by the FGBI “ARRIAH” in Indonesia with the aim of their promotion to Asia Pacific region were also discussed.
