The staff members of the Laboratory for Chemical Analysis within the Testing Centre of the FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” subordinate to the Rosselkhoznadzor took part in the round of the proficiency testing organized by Food Analysis Performance Assessment Scheme (FAPAS) devoted to identification of toxic elements in liver using mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma.
Based on the assessment of the coordinator of international proficiency testing the results demonstrated by the laboratory staff were satisfactory. Z-index for cadmium was 1.1, for cadmium – 0.2 and for lead – 0.3 (z < |2| is satisfactory).
Thus the Testing Centre confirmed the professional competence of its specialists and reliability of analytical methods for used food testing.
The data concerning the results of international proficiency testing can be found on FAPAS web-site (http:/www.fapas.com)
