Series of tests were carried out by the stuff members of the Reference Laboratory for Highly Dangerous Animal Diseases of the Rosselhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” from the 8th to the 14th of February, 2016.

Peste des petitis ruminants virus was found in sheep biomaterial delivered from Georgia on February 12, 2016.

2033 ELISA-tests of swine blood sera were carried out for detection of antibodies to different viruses and bacteria. The results showed antibodies to PRRS virus in 583 samples (52%) out of 1112; antibodies to SIV in 42 samples (25%) out of 169. Antibodies to Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae were found in 99 cases (39%) out of 255. Antibodies to Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae were found in 146 cases (45%) out of 328.

169 blood sera were examined for post-vaccination antibodies to CSFV. 146 of them (86 %) showed presence of the antibodies.
