On April 19, 2017 the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” was visited by the delegates of Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency (QIA), Republic of Korea. Joint research cooperation and licensing of the FGBI ARRIAH-manufactured FMD preparations in the Republic of Korea were negotiated during the visit.

During the meeting with the FGBI ARRIAH high officials the delegates were introduced to basic trends of the Centre’s activities and discussed key issues of highly dangerous and economically significant animal diseases.

The FGBI ARRIAH experts told about up-to-date methods of FMD diagnosis and prevention and showed production facilities to the guests.

The parties discussed cooperation in the field of animal health and FMD prevention and agreed on interaction via research projects on technical assistance aimed at ensuring disease freedom in the Republic of Korea.

The Korean party highly estimated research and development results of the FGBI ARRIAH as well as high competence of the researchers.
