On March 19, 2018 within the framework of the visit of the Republic of Ecuador the representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate FGBI “Federal centre for animal health”, headed by the Director Dmitry Lozovoy, visited the AGROCALIDAD (Agriculture quality assurance agency), the competent veterinary authority of the Ecuador Ministry of Agriculture, where a meeting was held with the Executive Director, Fernando Cabezas Guerrero and leading experts of the Agency.

During the meeting, the FGBI “ARRIAH” was presented as the leading Russian research center engaged in the development and production of modern tools for diagnosis and prevention of animal diseases. In addition, a number of issues related to public procurement of veterinary drugs in the Republic of Ecuador were discussed, as well as the opportunities and prospects of supplying the FGBI “ARRIAH”’s products to the country.

At the same time, the Russian side assured that it is ready not only to provide assistance in implementation of animal health measures by supplying highly effective vaccines, diagnostic tools, advisory services to the center's specialists, but also to assist in the training of Ecuadorian specialists in the FGBI “ARRIAH” and to organize joint scientific research. Besides, Dmitry Lozovoy spoke about new vaccines for poultry, and opportunities for future cooperation with the Ecuadorian side in this sphere.

Later, the Russian delegation visited several AGROCALIDAD subordinate laboratories to get acquainted with their activities within the surveillance system of the Republic of Ecuador (veterinary and sanitary control). The Ecuadorian colleagues were invited to visit the FGBI "ARRIAH" to get acquainted with the work of research and production laboratories, which would help to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
